A new light on the Zandvoort Light Walk

Registration for 6th edition now open 

Registration for the Zandvoort Light Walk 2027 is now open. On Saturday, February 6, Zandvoort will once again transform into an atmospheric setting for thousands of walkers. The upcoming edition also marks a new direction for the event. With the permanent slogan 'Where winter glows', the Zandvoort Light Walk will henceforth focus even more strongly on light, wonder, warmth, and the special atmosphere of a winter evening by the sea. 

The Zandvoort Light Walk has become known for combining walking and light experiences. Along various routes, participants will be surprised by light art, projections, entertainment, and special locations in and around Zandvoort. These trusted elements will remain but will be given more space under a new direction starting in 2027. 

While previous editions centered on a specific theme each year, sports organization Le Champion has chosen a recognizable world where winter, light, and warmth come together from now on. It may be cold outside, but along the way, it should feel warm, cozy, and surprising. The new slogan 'Where winter glows' will be the permanent direction for this starting in 2027.  

Always something new along the way 
In 2027, participants will continue to be surprised along the way. The organization is working on new light art, winter projections, atmospheric installations, and surprising experiences in special places throughout Zandvoort. From major eye-catchers to smaller moments of wonder: the various creations together form the experience of the evening. 

Participants can choose from 6.5, 10, 14, and 18 kilometers. The 6.5 km is dedicated to the Family Walk and offers young and old the opportunity to experience the Zandvoort Light Walk together. Anyone wishing to participate in this distance must act quickly: this distance sells out early every year. 

New charity: MS Fonds 
From 2027, MS Fonds will be the new charity of the Zandvoort Light Walk. During registration, participants can make a voluntary contribution to important research into MS. In addition, it is possible to start a personal fundraising page via MS Fonds.  

Registration open 
Registration for the Zandvoort Light Walk on Saturday, February 6, 2027, is now open. Participants can register for the 6.5 km Family Walk and the distances of 10, 14, and 18 km via www.zandvoortlightwalk.nl. Registration is open until January 25 or until the participant limit is reached.
