Already more than 5,000 registrations for the 3rd edition of the Zandvoort Light Walk

More than 75% of the entry tickets for the popular Family Walk have already sold out

On Saturday evening, February 17, the 3rd edition of the Zandvoort Light Walk is on the walking agenda, featuring a new theme. The routes take participants past the highlights of Zandvoort, the most beautiful light artworks, and impressive light acts. Meanwhile, more than 5,000 walkers have already registered for this walking experience through Zandvoort.

In addition to the familiar distances of 6, 14, and 18 km, this evening walking tour full of experience also features a beautiful 10 km route this year. Along the routes, walkers will encounter cozy stamp and refreshment stations where, in addition to a stamp, they will also receive a treat. All participants start in the cozy village center at the Kleine Krocht and then wind through the heart of Zandvoort.

Walkers of the longest distance will make a loop over the Former Tramway, before heading through the dunes to the beach together with the 14 km walkers. On the beach, the routes of the 10 km and the Family Walk successively merge with those of the 14 and 18 km.

After a short stretch on the boulevard, everyone can walk in top gear across Circuit Zandvoort. A unique experience to feel the steep Arie Luyendijk corner. The final cozy kilometers bring the walkers together to the finish in the center of Zandvoort and the corresponding finish party, organized together with local entrepreneurs.

Naturally Zandvoort
To stimulate the participants' experience along the way even more, a theme has been added to the Zandvoort Light Walk this year. During this evening walking event, participants on the route will be surprised by a diversity of light art, fire acts, sound objects, and street theater themed Naturally Zandvoort. Along the way, participants walk across the beach, along the sea, and through dune areas that are characteristic of Zandvoort. But of course, Naturally Zandvoort also stands for what else Zandvoort has to offer with its bustling center and circuit.

Family Walk remains popular
As in previous editions, the 6 km Family Walk is highly popular again this year. More than 75% of the 2,000 entry tickets for this shortest distance have already sold out. This route is specially for families with children, but is of course also accessible to anyone for whom walking 10 km is just a bit too far. The light artworks that the Family Walk participants encounter will amaze the youngest participants and give them an enchanting evening.

Walk for KNRM Zandvoort
During the 3rd edition of the Zandvoort Light Walk, KNRM Zandvoort is once again the charity. Upon registration, participants can make a voluntary donation to benefit the Zandvoort rescue society.

The walkers' contribution will be used to purchase new survival suits for KNRM volunteers, enabling them to continue their work for safety on the beach, the dune area, and the sea.
